ARTIST STATEMENT

Inspired by ritual, divination, and ceramics as the intersection of science and magic, my interest lies in transforming experience into object through clay. My work removes boundaries between object, viewer, and the otherworldly. Forms become ahistorical, objects exude life, and tools take on ethereal purpose. My repetitive motion of coiling and slip casting reconstructs abstract ideas on our perception of reality into physical form.
